A’ Chiad Seachdainn.

Bha deagh sheachdain againn aig Sgoil-Àraich Ghlinn Urchadain. An tòiseach na sheachdain bha bocsa mòr a’ seo! Bha na clann ag obair cruaidh le pinn agus siosaran airson doras agus uinneagan a dhèanamh. Sgrìobh iad uile ainmean agus delabhan aca a-staigh agus a-muigh am bocsa, tha e a’ coimhead sgioinneil a-nis! An ath-latha, cha robh bocsa mòr againn ach bha na clann a’ cluich le itealan! Bha seo sgoinneil ri fhaicinn oir rinn iad fhèin an obair agus bha tòrr spòrs aig a h-uile duine.

Air Diardaoin, chaidh sinn dhan a’ choille còmhla ri Ionaid Cùraim-chloinne Ghlinn Urchadain. Às deidh an stòiridh “Mo Chiad Leabhar Bheathaichean Choille” a leughadh rinn na cloinne liosta den rudan bhon leabhar. Fhuair sinn clipboards agus peansailean agus dh’fhalbh sinn dhan a’ choille. Nuair am faic na clann rudan air an liosta, m.e craobh, rinn na clann comharra ri taobh an dealbh. Chunnaic a h-uile duine tòrr craobhan agus lòintean!

Tha a h-uile duine a bha seo a’ tuigsinn an cànan agus tha iad a’ tòiseachadh cànan a chleachdadh cuideachd! Tha seo sgoinneil ri fhaicinn ged a tha ùine cho goirid aca còmhla rinn.

We’ve had a good week at Glen Urquhart Gaelic Nursery. At the beginning of the week there was a big box here! The children worked hard with pens and scissors to make a door and windows. They all wrote their names and pictures inside and outside the box, it’s looking fantastic now! The next day we didn’t have a big box but the children were playing with an aeroplane! This was great to see as this was the children’s own work and everyone had great fun.

On Thursday we went to the woods with the Glen Urquhart Childcare Centre. After reading a story “Mo Chiad Leabhar Bheathaichean a Choille” the children made a list of things from the book. We got clipboards and pencils and we left for the woods. When the children saw something on the list, e.g a tree, the children marked next to the picture. Everyone saw a lot of trees and puddles!

Everyone that was here is understanding the language and they are starting to use the language too! This is excellent to see even when they are only with us for such a short time.
